Code for International Shipping Teaching Course Program

Article 1 In oder to allow students of this University to familiar with shipping knowledge, emphasize cross-domain knowledge integration, as well as to cultivate those students with practical approach and international management ability, based on Article 3 of National Taiwan Ocean University Guidelines for Establishing Teaching Course Program, hereby provide this Code.
Article 2 This Teaching Course Program establishes an 'International Shipping Teaching course program Committee' (hereunder cited as 'this Committee'), to arrange related affairs of running this Teaching Course Program. The method for establishing this Committee will be provided by a separate rule.
Article 3 This Committee will plan this Teaching Course Program, of which the courses will be provided by respective Department of this College with full English teaching courses. Nevertheless, the titles of those teaching courses shall obtain prior approval from this Committee.
Article 4 Those students, who study any one of the approved teaching courses in this Teaching Course Program, are entitled to apply to this Committee for the issuance of a certificate of engaging in that course. Those students, who hav completed those courses and credits as required by this Teaching Course Program, are entitled to apply to this University for the issuance of a teaching course program certificate.
Article 5 The credits for this Teaching Course Program are as follow:
1. To complete this Teaching Course Program requires at least 20 credits.
2. Those approved courses are provided by International Shipping Teaching Course Program Course List.
3. Those students, who have studied similar courses in other universities, can be accepted not more than 6 credits, as long as those courses are fully taugh in English
Article 6

Those issues, which are not provided by this Code, shall be arranged according with relevant rules and regulations of this University.

Article 7 This Code will come into force after having been approved and promulgated by Teaching Course Committee, and Meeting of Academic Affairs, of this University.
